Im folgenden beginnen wir die Veröffentlichung von Solidaritätserklärungen mit RKOB Sprecher Johannes Wiener, der wegen einer Pro-Palästina-Rede bei der Gaza-Demonstration am 16.11.2012 wegen „Verhetzung“ angezeigt wurde. (1) Wir bedanken uns bei all jenen GenossInnen und FreundInnen, die uns bereits solche Stellungnahme zukommen ließen. Wir ersuchen alle Organisationen und AktivistInnen, die auf der Seite des palästinensischen Widerstandes gegen den Apartheidstaat Israel stehen, uns ähnliche Stellungnahme zukommen zu lassen. Die veröffentlichte Liste mit den Solidaritätserklärungen wird laufend aktualisiert.

EINSTELLUNG ALLER ERMITTLUNGEN GEGEN JOHANNES WIENER!
Gegen den 20jährigen Aktivisten der RKOB Johannes Wiener wurde wegen einer Rede, die er bei einer Gaza-Solidaritätsdemonstration am 16. November 2012 in Wien gehalten hat, Anzeige wegen „Verhetzung“ erstattet. Dieser Tatbestand kann mit bis zu zwei Jahren Haft geahndet werden.
Hinter der Anzeige stehen mit an Sicheheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit pro-israelische Kräfte, die heute in Wien von offen zionistischen Organisationen über die Israelitische Kultusgemeinde, christliche Sekten, die anarchistisch orientierte Grün-Alternative Jugend, der KPÖ nahestehende Gruppen bis hin zu den bekannten „Anti-Nationalen“ à la „Café Critique“, Stefan Grigat und Co., reichen.
Mit dieser Anzeige und den dadurch ausgelösten Ermittlungen der politischen Polizei („Landesamt für Verfassungsschutz und Terrorismusbekämpfung“) soll jede Kritik am israelischen Apartheidstaat und seiner militärischen, polizeilichen und juristischen Unterdrückung der palästinensischen Bevökerung im Keim erstickt werden.
Ohne die Positionen der RKOB, deren Sprecher Genosse Wiener ist, oder jeden Satz seiner Rede inhaltlich zu teilen, sehen wir es als unsere selbstverständliche Pflicht an, Genossen Wiener gegen diese juristischen Verfolgung zu verteidigen. Auch alle anderen Organisationen der ArbeiterInnenbewegung sollten das tun, denn dieser flagrante Fall von Gesinnungskriminalisierung wendet sich tendenziell gegen alle Strömungen, die gegen nationale Unterdrückung, Imperialismus und für eine sozialistische Perspektive eintreten.
Zugleich zeigt der Versuch, Johannes Wiener zu kriminalisieren, wie zweischneidig von manchen Gruppen positiv bewertete Gesetze wie das „Verhetzungsverbot“ sind, die eben keine „antifaschistischen“ Gesetze sind, sondern willkürlich auch gegen sozialistische Kräfte gewendet werden können.
In diesem Sinne fordern wir die Einstellung der Ermittlungen gegen Johannes Wiener.

Message of Solidarity with RCIT and Johannes Wiener
Workers International Vanguard Party stands in solidarity with Johannes Wiener and the RCIT against the attack by the Austrian state. Johannes and the RCIT are implacable fighters for the rights of Palestinians and oppose the fascistic tactics of the Israeli state. This attack by the Austrian state is an attack on the international workers movement as indeed it is an attack on the international Palestinian solidarity movement.
Yesterday young 17 year old Mohammed As Salayma was shot dead by Israeli soldiers in occupied Hebron. His only crime was being deaf from birth and going out to buy a cake for his birthday. Are Johannes and the RCIT right about their criticisms of Israel? Most certainly yes. Why has the Austrian state not acted against the Israeli Ambassador? Yet they accuse Johannes of ’sedition‘.
The only conclusion to be drawn from this trumped-up charge against Johannes, is that the Austrian state is itself wanting to introduce a period of fascism in Austria.
This attempt to crush the workers movement in Austria will not succeed. The world workers movement rose against Hitler and Mussolini; there will be the same response and more from the workers of the world.
Hands off Johannes Wiener! Hands Off the RCIT! Hands off the workers movement!

A young comrade of the RKOB of Austria has been charged with ‘sedition’ for making a speech in support of Palestinian liberation and against the “apartheid” state of Israel at a recent demonstration in Vienna against the Israeli bombing of Gaza. We quote from the RKOB statement.
“20-year old Palestine Solidarity Activist and RKOB spokesperson Johannes Wiener has been accused of „sedition” and must appear soon at the “Federal Bureau for the Protection of the Constitution and Counter-Terrorism” in Vienna (this is the long name for the Secret Police in Austria). His crime: He held a speech in solidarity with the Palestine Resistance at a mass rally on 16.11.2012 during the recent Gaza War. As a result comrade Wiener faces the threat of up to two years in prison. His militant speech has caused some public attention and was already viewed 6.500 times since then. It has been published as a video both on the RKOB website as well as of the bourgeois daily paper HEUTE. (1)”
The Liaison Committee of Communists condemns the actions of the Austrian imperialist bourgeois state in suppressing the democratic right of freedom of speech!
We condemn the actions of pro-Israel, pro-Zionist political groups in actively campaigning for the suppression of freedom of speech.
We declare our solidarity with the RKOB in a united front on the demand: “Palestine shall be free, from the River to the Sea!”
