Die RKOB, einer der zahlreichen Gruppen mit revolutionärem Selbstverständnis, welche die Refugee Bewegung entweder verschlafen oder mehr oder weniger ignoriert haben, ruft zur Wahl der SPÖ auf! „Bringen wir die SPÖ erneut in die Regierung aber schenken wir ihr kein Vertrauen! Zwingen wir sie durch Massenmobilisierung der ArbeiterInnenbewegung, mit Streiks bis hin zum Massenstreik, den geplanten Angriffen der herrschenden Klasse auf unsere Rechte …“ Nun ja, Trotzki ist jetzt auch schon eine Weile tot und kann sich nicht mehr wehren…
Ich möchte daran erinnern, dass der sozialdemokratische Bürgermeister Häupl, den es beim Gedanken an die sogenannten Supporter* der Refugee Bewegung den Magen umdreht, von der brutalen Zerstörung des Camps im Refugee Protest Park gegenüber der Votivkirche im Vorfeld informiert gewesen war und nichts dagegen unternommen hat. Ich möchte weiter daran erinnern, dass seit Bestehen der Bewegung eine Hetze und auch eine physische Jagd auf Refugees betrieben wurde und immer noch wird. Außerdem haben die GenossInnen der RKOB vielleicht vergessen, dass es die SPÖ in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen rassistischen Parteien war, die Staatsrassismus und die damit verbundene Menschenhatz und Menschenverachtung in Gesetzesform gegossen hat. Wer zur Wahl der SPÖ aufruft, ruft zur Wahl von Rassismus und Menschenverachtung auf!
Nur wenige aus der (radikalen) Linken haben die Refugee Bewegung nicht verschlafen. Dazu zählen anarchistische GenossInnen, einige grüne KollegInnen mit linkem Selbstverständnis, Young Struggle und die SLP. Die SLP hat in der Bewegung von Anfang an vorbildlich und uneigennützig mitgekämpft. Daher werde ich sie bei der Nationalratswahl 2013, wenngleich auch kritisch, wählen.
Eine kritische Stimmabgabe deswegen, da die SLP im Moment vor dem Einfluss undemokratisch agierender Grüppchen zurück zu weichen scheint. Es handelt sich dabei zum Einen um der Sozialdemokratie nahe stehende AktivistInnen – zu denen auch eine Mitarbeiterin aus dem Parlamentsbüro von Laura Rudas (sic!) gehört und zum Anderen um einen Freundeskreis rund um eine Wiener Boulvardezeitung. Die Methoden dieser netten Damen und Herren reichen von verdecktem bis offenen SLP-bashing, persönlichen Diffamierungen bis zu einem von jeder demokratischen Kontrolle unbelasteten Umgang mit einem Email-Verteiler.
Ein derbes Beispiel für das SLP-bashing ist ein Video zu einer Diskussionsveranstaltung am diesjährigen Volksstimmefest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=who8N2QAKcI) zu der LabourNetAustria eingeladen hat. Die erfolgreiche Veranstaltung dauerte eineinhalb bis zwei Stunden. Leider mussten wir die Aufnahme und unfreiwilliger Weise auch den Schnitt einem dieser netten Herren überlassen. Das Ergebnis ist eine willkürliche Auswahl von Sequenzen bei der Sonja Grusch (SLP) nach 30 Sekunden das Wort abgeschnitten wird. Zum Vergleich: Michael Genner (Asyl in Not) gewährte man 4 Minuten und 6 Sekunden und Klaus Werner Lobo (Grüne) 5 Minuten und 3 Sekunden Redezeit**. Dieser billige Akt von Zensur ist ein sehr bezeichnendes Bild für die voranschreitende antidemokratische Verwahrlosung der Bewegung.
Ich kann nur hoffen, dass der Einfluss dieser Kräfte zurück gedrängt werden kann, da ansonsten ein sehr schmerzhaftes Ende der Bewegung eine der wahrscheinlichsten Optionen sein wird. Es liegt nicht zuletzt, aber auch nicht nur, an der SLP Demokratie und Transparenz einzufordern!
* Dieser Begriff darf wohl zu recht als „kleinbürgerlich-linke“ Irrung bezeichnet werden. Sie stammt leider aus den Reihen der Bewegung selbst und wurde dankbar von der österreichischen Journaille übernommen – offensichtlich um die Bewegung durch den Versuch der Spaltung zu schwächen

A call to vote for the Social Democrats ? How does that work?
RKOB, one of the many groups with revolutionary self-understanding, which have either overslept or more or less ignored the Refugee Movement, calls to vote for the Social Democratic Party! „Let’s get the SPÖ again in the government but we pay no confidence! Lets force them through mass mobilization of the labor movement, with strikes through to the mass strike to oppose the planned attacks of our rights…“ Well, Trotsky’s been a while now dead and can not defend himselve anymore…
I want to remind you that the Socialist mayor Häupl, whom turns the stomach at the thought of the so-called supporter* of the Refugee Movement, had been informed by the brutal destruction of the camp in Refugee Protest Park opposite the Votive Church in advance and had nothing done about it. I want to remind you that since the existence of a this movement a smear campaign and also a physical hunt was operated on Refugees and still is. In addition, the comrades of the RKOB may have forgotten that it was the Social Democratic Party in collaboration with other racist parties, which has poured state racism and the associated manhunt and misanthropy into law. Who calls for the election of the Social Democratic Party, calls for the election of racism and contempt for human life!
Only a few of the (radical) left have not overslept the Refugee movement. There are anarchist comrades, some green colleagues with left self-understanding, Young Struggle and the SLP. The SLP has fought commendable and unselfish in the movement from the beginning. I will therefore in the national election in 2013, albeit critical, vote them.
Therefore a critical vote, since the SLP in the moment seems to back from the influence of small groups acting undemocratically. Some of them are activists very close to the social-democracy – including a staff member from the office of Parliament of Laura Rudas (sic! ) and the others a group of friends around a Viennese street paper. The methods of these nice ladies and gentlemen ranging from concealed to open SLP bashing, personal defamation to undemocratic dealing with an email list.
A rough example of the SLP bashing is a video to a panel discussion at this year Volksstimmefest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=who8N2QAKcI) to which LabourNetAustria has invited. The successful event lasts one and a half to two hours. Unfortunately we had to cede the shooting and involuntary way the cutting one of these nice gentlemen. The result is an arbitrary selection of sequences in which Sonja Gruschs (SLP) words after 30 seconds are truncated. For comparison, Michael Genner (Asyl in Not) was granted 4 minutes and 6 seconds and Klaus Werner Lobo (Greens) 5 minutes and 3 seconds of speaking time**. This cheap act of censorship is a very indicative picture for the progressing anti-democratic neglect of the movement.
I can only hope that the influence of these forces can be pushed back, otherwise a very painful end of the movement will be one of the most likely options. It is not the least, but not only at the SLP to demand democracy and transparency!
* This term probable may rightly be referred as “ petty-bourgeois left „. Unfortunately, it comes from the ranks of the movement itself and was grateful taken over by the Austrian gutter press – apparently to weaken the movement by attempting to split.
