On April 4, one year to the day of his assassination, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. made one of his finest speeches as he denounced poverty, violence and imperial war.

He did it at a place called Riverside Church in Manhattan.

It’s time to return to Riverside – this time for a Gala Celebration for the Int’l Action Center’s 20th anniversary and the 85th Birthday of human rights lawyer, Ramsey Clark, on Jan. 20th, 2013.

Ramsey Clark isn’t big on birthdays, but the fact that it coincides with the IAC’s 20th Anniversary, makes it possible to blend the two, and mark the continuing work of a unique political figure in America –former attorney-general of the US, Ramsey Clark.

There are few political figures that have fought on both sides of the barricades so skillfully.

The IAC has consistently launched struggles on behalf of the poor and oppressed the world over, from Palestine, to Iraq; from Nicaragua, to Death Row; and always – always—against

Imperialism.

This is MAJ inviting you to return to Riverside!
